Hi, my name is Petra, I’m 26 years old and I was born in Slovakia. I have been doing photography as a hobby since the age of 14.
I fell in love with photography at the time when I held my very first compact camera in my hands, shooting everything around me, I then found out I actually really like it. When I was 16 I was so excited to get a DSLR camera which I still own until now. That was also the time when I started shooting portraits, here and there some landscapes as well, and realised I love it. I adore meeting people of different types and capturing their beauty using a natural light.
After I finished my high school I moved over to UK, packed my camera with me but for some reason I couldn’t manage to find the time to satisfy my passion for photography. One day I realised my life is not as fulfilling as it used to be, when my friend told me I should start doing something I love doing and continue with photography that I gave up about five years ago. I then realised that I was never truly happy without a camera in my hands capturing life’s magical moments. I contacted my two sisters and all my friends straight away asking them to pose in front of me to help me build my portfolio and so it happened. Luckily they all agreed (thank God for having such good people around me) and I fell in love with photography for the second time.
Currently I’m doing streetstyle and fashion portraits and trying to focus more on couple’s and family portraits, shooting in West Midlands, UK and across Slovakia as well.
